Saturday, April 28, Pine Trail Camp board, staff, and friends gathered to prepare the grounds spiritually for Summer 2012. Not even the rain could damper the enthusiasm for camp and the prayers offered. God does do amazing things!! As the groups walked the grounds, umbrellas in hand, prayers were offered for safety, summer staff, preparation of the campers’ hearts, and a clear vision as we seek the Lord’s leading.
Pine Trail Camp was privileged to host over twenty women from the Illinois area in a four day scrapbooking extravaganza. Family (three generations from one family) and friends worked into the wee hours of the morning creating beautiful works of art to preserve family memories. Participants praised Pine Trail for its outstanding food, hospitality, accommodations, and great price. The versatile space in the chapel was perfect for the mountains of equipment used in this event and the natural and overhead lighting were also remarked on. Our popular Day Camp program will be in full swing this summer. Those of you who were day campers last year will be happy to know that Steve will be back as one of our leaders! Tell your friends and register soon. We begin on June 11 and run through August 3. Campers will swim, canoe, zip-line, participate in archery, ga-ga pit, crafts, and games – lunch included!
